FIFA Soccer 11

Bibliographic Information: EA Sports (2010). FIFA Soccer 11. Unites States: Electronic Arts Inc.

Plot Summary: FIFA Soccer 11 is the eighteenth of twenty editions of this epic soccer game. The franchise has improved year after year since its inception in 1993.  While the rules of soccer never change, game play has only become more and more realistic.  FIFA Soccer 11 improves the way the computer moves the players that are not near the ball.  This game allows you to play as the goalie if you would like.  You can also be a coach during a 15 years of league play.  This game allows you to create tournaments with all the best teams from around the world.  Game interaction between the games has also been improved.  During career mode you are notified of your success through email updates. The final upgrade for this edition is the improvement of real player personalities.  EA Sports writes, “Feel the difference, on and off the ball, with Personality+ as each player’s individual behaviors and traits are authentically replicated in-game.”  It is an uphill battle trying to capture the subtle nuances of hundreds and hundreds of players.
